It was quite a treat and I've never forgotten it. Please feel free to take a peek at my other Spenser/Urich listings for more, including this rare listing in reg #1 next week.   In addition to his success in the Spenser weekly television series’, Urich had also worked extensively in movies for television, having received both critical and popular acclaim for this movie and rare collectible, The Defiant Ones. This is a remake of the famous film of 1958 starred by Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier, about two white and black men who hated each other but at the end both understood that their reason and means to escape are the same and it did not matter with the skin color. Weathers, although not Poitier, as an actor was close in his performance to Sidney - and Robert Urich is terrific as the Tony Curtis character, Johnny "Joker" Johnson. Also, the color and photography are much better than the version of 1958. Please be aware that, until the reg #1 vhs movie video comes in, this, the only available version at this time, is in the pal reg format. Please check my other listings for the us/ca format.
