Description
This is the original BBC release of the very rare and sought after video of the THIRD ever time that the Doctor faced the Daleks!! The first Doctor being played by William Hartnell. The Daleks are closing in on the Doctor in a chase through both the universe and through time itself. For having created their own time machine, the Daleks are able to pursue the TARDIS from the planet of Aridius, on to the Empire State Building in 1966, on to the Marie Celeste in 1872 and even on into a haunted house within someone's nightmare. Recognising that he must force a resolution to this desperate chase through time, the scene is set for a confrontation between the Time Lord and his most feared enemy on the jungle planet of Mechanus. A great story, this sees the Doctor being chased by his worst enemies all over time and space, and even sees him meeting Frankenstein and Count Dracula!! This is such an important story, as it sees the departure of the last of the very first TARDIS crew – Ian and Barbara. It also marks the first ever appearance of the Doctor’s second ever male companion Steven. The video is in excellent condition. There is some wear to the cardboard box, around the edges. It has since been deleted and is not available on DVD, with no plans to release it in the near future. This video is the only means to own the adventures. I always offer value with my sales, and this is reflected in the cheapest buy it now price currently both for Ebay and Amazon.co.uk!! PS: I am having problems uploading pictures onto Ebay therefore no picture available, but rest assured this is the original video release, and not a copy. Please see all recent positive feedback received on other Dr Who video sales for confirmation of quality service and goods. PPS: Having had my fingers burnt with finding out that a supposedly original Dr Who video that I bought and watched (of Planet of the Daleks), via Ebay, was a fake, which I then unknowingIy sold on, I can confirm that this is definately an original, with the original inset card and official BBC print on the tape itself on the side. After that I found out to always look for this when buying any Dr Who videos to avoid purchasing a fake, so this is good advice to any Who fans buying the vids. By the way, the person who bought the fake got a full refund plus postage costs to return as stated in my feedback, if you are wondering, and you can check the previous Dr Who video transactions for assurance.
